Last updated: October 1, 2026
Home Appraisal Solutions (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the confidentiality of every client engagement. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you request an appraisal, book an appointment, or otherwise engage our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide directly to us when you request a quote, schedule an appointment, or communicate with us. This may include:
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
- Property information: the subject property address, ownership details, and characteristics relevant to the appraisal (bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, lot size, condition, improvements, and similar).
- Appointment details: requested service type, preferred date and time, and—for estate, divorce, and tax appeal assignments—whether you want a retrospective appraisal and the effective date of value.
- Engagement details: the intended use, intended users, signed Statement of Work, quote acceptance, and payment information.
- Communications: the content of your calls, text messages, emails, or chats with us when you contact our office.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- scope, prepare, and deliver your appraisal or measurement report;
- schedule and confirm appointments and send reminders;
- verify your identity and the email address on file;
- process payments and issue invoices and receipts;
- communicate with you and your authorized representatives about the engagement;
- meet our obligations under USPAP and applicable licensing rules; and
- respond to your questions and provide customer support.
Legal Basis & USPAP Confidentiality
As state-licensed appraisers, we are bound by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), including the Confidentiality Rule, which requires us to safeguard the confidentiality of appraisal results and non-public client information. We process personal information to perform the engagement you have requested, to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information only:
- with the intended users identified in the Statement of Work (such as your attorney, lender, or executor), as authorized by you;
- with service providers who help us operate our business (such as scheduling, payments, and hosting), under appropriate contractual obligations;
- when required by law, court order, or regulatory or licensing authority; or
- to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our clients or others.
Data Retention
We retain engagement records and work files for the period required by USPAP recordkeeping rules and applicable law, and thereafter only as long as needed for business, legal, or accounting purposes.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
SMS / Messaging Policy
We may send text messages to the phone number you provide. There are two categories of messages, each requiring its own opt-in consent at the point of collection:
- Service / non-marketing messages: appointment confirmations, reminders, scheduling updates, report delivery notices, and other transactional communications about your engagement. These are sent as needed based on the status of your appraisal.
- Marketing messages: special offers, discounts, and service updates. These are sent only if you have separately opted in.
Message frequency varies depending on the type of message and the stage of your engagement. Standard message & data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.
Opt-out: You may cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. If you opt out of service messages, we will continue to communicate with you by email or phone where required to complete your engagement. Reply HELP for assistance at any time.
Consent is optional. Providing your phone number and checking a consent box is not required to request an appraisal. We do not share your mobile number with third parties for marketing purposes. We retain a record of your consent (which boxes were checked and when) as part of your engagement file.
Cookies & Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and, where enabled, to understand traffic and performance through our analytics and tracking partners. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Website analytics do not include the contents of your appraisal or engagement file.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to restrict or object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are intended for adults engaging in real estate transactions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “last updated” date above.
